Look up… Armstrong Ceilings Are Everything You Need
Ceilings are about more than aesthetics. Noise is the number one complaint in the workplace. Employees from hospitals to offices often complain of unwanted noise as one of the leading sources of distraction and dissatisfaction while on the job. Armstrong’s acoustic and sound control ceiling panels, featuring the ideal combination of both sound blocking and sound absorption, are an excellent solution. Light (and the how light reflects into a space) are also key factors to consider. Armstrong ceiling panels come in a multitude of sizes and materials to aid in the light distribution of a space.
When acoustic ceilings were first developed in the 1960s, the primary goal was to create a barrier for sound. There were hardly “attractive” or architecturally appealing options. These ceilings were built for functionality and not much more. Today, things are very different. Armstrong Ceilings are not only functional, but design driven as well.
Armstrong’s Cirrus family of ceilings offers a light texture with a wide range of edge details and design visuals available. With strong performance benefits, including sound absorption and blocking, and no-sag performance at a mid-price point, Cirrus continues to be a popular choice for interiors. Cirrus ceilings provide a medium-textured visual and high-NRC (Noise Reduction Co-Efficient) items are available with improved acoustical absorption. High-CAC (Ceiling Attenuation Class) items are available if sound blocking is critical. Cirrus Themes carved designs inspire pediatric areas. Most Cirrus panels offer HumiGuard+ no sag performance, are resistant to surface growth of mold and mildew and can be recycled at the end of their usable life. Select Cirrus items are available in light tone colors. Cirrus is also available in custom sizes by special request and is compatible with a standard suspension system and Axiom perimeter trim items.
Armstrong’s Optima ceilings feature a fine textured, non-directional DuraBrite™ surface for increased durability and superior light reflectance. The washable, impact-resistant surface resists scratches, thus minimizing the need for frequent panel replacement. It also makes the panels more resistant to HVAC soiling. Optima ceiling panels are available in a variety of standard, non-standard and custom sizes. When paired with an Armstrong suspension system Optima ceiling panels are backed by the Armstrong 30-year System Performance Guarantee. Optima’s sister product, Ultima, is the ideal choice for Closed Plan areas.
The Ultima Health Zone line of acoustics features water-repellant, high performance, fine-textured options. It is available in wood finishes of bamboo, light cherry, barnwood, oak, and walnut. An array of classic colors are also available, and it’s also possible to create unique, custom ceiling visuals using non-standard colors and custom artwork. Ultima Health Zone can also be mixed and matched with standard Ultima and Optima products.
Acoustical ceilings are an excellent way to reduce noise within a space. The Armstrong ceiling portfolio offers solutions in mineral fiber, fiberglass, perforated metal, and perforated wood. Bright whites, bold colors, cool metals, and warm woods give you the design flexibility and acoustical performance you need for your commercial interior.
