Continental’s GSA Contract Continues to Grow with Recycled Sports Flooring

Continental Flooring is pleased to announce the award of our third GSA Contract. Our most recent Schedule GS-03F-001BA is under the Sports Equipment & Supplies category of Schedule 78. This new contract includes recycled rubber flooring offerings from Dinoflex and additional products from Ecore Commercial Flooring’s line: ECOsurfaces, Everlast Sports Surfaces and ECO98. Recycled flooring has become extremely popular in recent years and these unique suppliers are among the leading “green” companies in the world for rubber surfaces.

The addition of these manufacturers will allow us to offer more flexible product choices to government buyers.
Dinoflex has been a force in the recycled rubber market for over two decades.  They are constantly evolving in the marketplace and pride themselves on being “at the forefront of  innovation” in their industry. According to their website, “Up to 90% of Dinoflex flooring consists of recycled, post-consumer tire rubber.” They are dedicated to a clean manufacturing process that doesn’t pollute air, ground or water. Dinoflex products are suitable for a number of commercial and sport uses are considered virtually maintenance free. Under the new GSA Contract, we will be carrying Evolution Rubber Tile, Dinomat®, Sport Mat Flooring and Stride Fitness Tiles.

ECORE International is a major player in the recycled market as well. They are the largest user of scrap tire rubber in the United States and convert over 80 million pounds of tires annually into rubber flooring. (And, according their website, this keeps 1 million barrels of oil over 2,000 trailer loads of discarded tires out of our nation’s landfills.) ECORE’s capabilities include “grinding, screening, removal of stone, wood, paper, fluff, fiber, and materials from scrap rubber.”  Our new contract will cover the ECOsurfaces, ECO98 and Everlast Sports Surfaces brands.
