ECORE has been a trend setter in flooring since the 1800s. In 1876, G.W. Dodge and his son, Byron G. Dodge founded the Lancaster Cork Company and started working with natural, sustainable flooring products a century before green initiatives were considered mainstream. The company began experimenting with 100% re-bonded recycled rubber products in 1986 and transformed into what is now known as ECORE. Forest rx uses a patented technology called itstru to fuse a Polyflor vinyl wear layer to a 5mm ECORE recycled rubber backing. The result is a unique solution that provides substantial cushioning and reduces the risk of fall injuries, along with the added benefit of improved ergonomics for active patients, residents and staff. Because of its single, fusion-bonded structure, Forest rx solves acoustical issues and  boasts proven sound control that meets and exceeds building code requirements. Forest rx comes in seven different colors and is recommended for heavy commercial use.
