Armstrong Calla
When acoustic ceilings were first developed in the 1960s, the primary goal was to create a barrier for sound. There were hardly “attractive” or architecturally appealing options. These ceilings were built for functionality and not much more. Today, things are very different. Armstrong Ceilings has introduced several lines acoustic ceiling tile, like Armstrong Calla, that are not only functional, but for lack of a better word, fashionable as well.
Noise is the number one complaint in the workplace. Acoustic ceiling panels, featuring the ideal combination of both sound blocking and sound absorption, are an excellent solution. Armstrong acoustical ceiling panels come in a multitude of sizes and materials. Squares and rectilinear ceiling panels can be installed with standard, 1/4″ reveal Vector, or completely concealed suspension. Acoustic tiles come with stucco finishes, imitation slate, wood, wood-look panels and other various beautiful colors and designs.
WoodWorks Channeled Plank ceiling panels are available in FSC-certified rich, real wood veneers are available in light cherry, dark cherry and maple. The more economical “Images” line features wood look finishes. Several scoring patterns are available to enhance acoustical performance. Beautiful ceiling to wall transitions can be created by using both the wall and ceiling planks. Larger Tegular and Vector panel sizes include 2′ x 4′, 1′ x 4′, and 30″ x 30″ for even more design flexibility.
Calla ™ allows interior ceilings to be smooth, yet textured. A Calla ceiling panel combined with the Blizzard White suspension system and trim finish has the monolithic visual of drywall with easy access to the duct space. Calla is also available in Colorations™ which offers 14 standard colors, or custom Sherwin Williams® colors. It’s now possible to create a totally color coordinated ceiling system using Colorations with 9/16″ Suprafine® suspension systems and Axiom® trim.
The Ultima Health Zone line of acoustics features water-repellant, high performance, fine-textured options. It is available in wood finishes of bamboo, light cherry, barnwood, oak, and walnut. An array of classic colors are also available, and it’s also possible to create unique, custom ceiling visuals using non-standard colors and custom artwork. Ultima Health Zone can also be mixed and matched with standard Ultima and Optima products.
Acoustical ceilings are an excellent way to reduce noise within a space. The Armstrong portfolio of commercial acoustical ceilings offers solutions in mineral fiber, fiberglass, perforated metal, and perforated wood. Bright whites, bold colors, cool metals, and warm woods give you the design flexibility and acoustical performance you need for your commercial interior.
